Two handcrafted lines that live alongside our brass lighting: hand-carved mashrabiya woodwork and signed handwoven Egyptian wool tapestries.
Mashrabiya is the pierced wooden latticework of Arab architecture — screens, room dividers, doors, cabinet fronts and wall panels, cut and assembled by hand without nails.
Egyptian Woven Tapestry is pictorial wall art: wool woven freehand on the loom, never copied from a cartoon, and signed by the weaver. Each piece is one of one.
