About E Kenoz

E Kenoz sells handcrafted home decor made the slow way — pierced brass lighting, turned-wood mashrabiya lattice, mother-of-pearl inlay, and handwoven wool tapestry. We have been at it for over a decade, and we ship worldwide, free of charge. Nothing we sell comes off a production line, and no two pieces are ever quite identical.

Four Lines, Four Crafts

Each of our lines is a separate trade with its own tools, its own timescale and its own makers. We did not add them to widen a catalogue; we added them because they are the crafts we know.

Moroccan Lighting

Pendant lights, chandeliers, wall sconces, ceiling lights and lanterns, made from solid brass. Each fixture begins as flat sheet and passes through turning, soldering, hammering, piercing and finishing before it is wired to UL-listed specification. Pierced brass is what gives these pieces their character: the light escapes through the pattern and lays geometric shadow across the walls and ceiling, which is something no moulded fixture reproduces. These are made to order, typically in 10 to 15 business days.

Mashrabiya Latticework

Mashrabiya is the turned-wood lattice screen of traditional Arab architecture — thousands of small spindles, each turned on a lathe and fitted into a frame without nails. We build panels, room dividers, doors, window screens, cabinet fronts and vanities in beech and walnut. Because these are architectural pieces, they are made to your dimensions and your chosen spindle spacing rather than to a stock size, which is why the listings quote a starting price and we confirm the final figure against your measurements.

Mother of Pearl Inlay

Mirrors, side tables, chests, consoles and game boards, inlaid piece by piece with mother of pearl and bone against dark hardwood. The inlay is cut, fitted and polished by hand — never printed, never transferred — and a single elaborate chest can take weeks at the bench. Most of this line is finished and held in stock, so it usually ships within a few days rather than being built to order.

Egyptian Woven Tapestry

Wool wall hangings woven freehand on the loom in natural plant dyes, and signed by the weaver who made them. There is no cartoon and no pattern to follow — the village scenes, birds, date palms and wheat fields are composed at the loom as the work goes. That is why every tapestry is genuinely one of a kind, and why none of them can be reordered.

Why Handcrafted Matters

Small variations in pattern, texture, colour and finish are the signature of real handwork, not flaws in it. A hand-pierced brass shade will have marks the next one does not. A woven panel will have a line the weaver chose in the moment. We would rather tell you that plainly than photograph our way around it.

Buying From Us
