These brass backsplash tiles centre on a twelve-point star that radiates out into a woven field of smaller stars and many-sided shapes. On a sink wall or behind a stove, this Moorish geometry reads as real relief, not print.

Sizes and coverage
Pick a Size, then a Number of tiles. Figures assume tiles butted together.
- 20 x 20 cm with 8 tiles: 0.32 m² (3.4 sq ft), e.g. 4 x 2 tiles = 80 x 40 cm
- 20 x 20 cm with 12 tiles: 0.48 m² (5.2 sq ft), e.g. 4 x 3 tiles = 80 x 60 cm
- 20 x 20 cm with 16 tiles: 0.64 m² (6.9 sq ft), e.g. 4 x 4 tiles = 80 x 80 cm
- 20 x 20 cm with 20 tiles: 0.80 m² (8.6 sq ft), e.g. 5 x 4 tiles = 100 x 80 cm
- 30 x 30 cm with 4 tiles: 0.36 m² (3.9 sq ft), e.g. 2 x 2 tiles = 60 x 60 cm
- 30 x 30 cm with 6 tiles: 0.54 m² (5.8 sq ft), e.g. 3 x 2 tiles = 90 x 60 cm
- 30 x 30 cm with 9 tiles: 0.81 m² (8.7 sq ft), e.g. 3 x 3 tiles = 90 x 90 cm
The tiles cannot be cut, so plan the layout around whole tiles.
Where to use it
- Behind a kitchen range or along the sink wall
- Fireplace surround, chimney breast or overmantel
- A band below a range hood or above open shelves
- Above a bathroom basin, as a vanity backsplash
- Feature wall in a living room, dining room or entrance hall
Installing and care
As tile, back-fill each piece with tile adhesive and press it onto a flat, clean wall, then grout or caulk when the adhesive has set. To use one as wall art, hang it from the small hanger on its back. Behind a cooktop, leave the clearance your cooktop maker asks for. Tiles cannot be cut, so work out the layout in whole tiles first. To clean, use a soft, damp cloth, then dry; abrasives and strong cleaners strip the patina.
