Market day in an Egyptian village, told through more than 130 people, and not one of them repeated. Women carry trays and cabbages on their heads, men in skullcaps and turbans stand in knots of conversation, children ride on their mothers' hips, and every face is given its own eyes, headscarf and expression. Behind the crowd the village climbs a hill of mud-brick houses toward a minaret in a palm grove, with a river and green crops along one side.

Hanging: the tapestry arrives without a sleeve or rod pocket. The simplest method is hook-and-loop tape sewn along the top edge, with the matching half fixed to a wooden batten on the wall. A clip rail also works, or a tailor can sew on a casing for a rod.
