A blazing orange ground crossed by flowering bushes in violet, teal and crimson, with a white donkey standing among them, black ibis flying in file, and a band of reeds and water along the base. The orange is the piece — it is used as sky, as earth, and as pure colour, and everything else is drawn against it.
