This large-scale wall tapestry is woven by hand on a traditional loom by artisan weavers in Egypt, in a vivid folk-art style rooted in village life along the Nile: palm trees, fruit orchards, birds in flight, grazing animals, mudbrick houses, and figures drawn from everyday rural scenes. Every leaf, feather, and flower is individually woven in wool — no printing, no embroidery shortcuts, entirely built thread by thread on the loom.
The piece shown in these photos (approx. 3m × 1.75m) is offered here as a proof of the studio's craftsmanship and scale capability — your commission will be a fresh, original composition woven to your own specifications, not a duplicate of this exact scene.
This is a made-to-order commission listing. When you purchase or message the shop, we'll walk through:
Size — from smaller wall pieces up to large-format statement tapestries (multiple metres wide); tell us your wall or space dimensions
Color palette — warm earth and sunset tones as shown, or a palette matched to your interior
Subject and motifs — Nile village life, palm and orchard scenes, animals and birds, or a custom scene designed around your brief
Level of detail — a denser, fine-pictorial composition like the one pictured, or a bolder, more graphic design (affects both look and lead time)
