Start from a theme — village life along the Nile, palm groves and orchards, birds and animals, or a scene built around your own brief — and choose the palette: warm earth and sunset tones like the piece shown, or colours matched to your interior. You also choose the level of detail, from a dense, finely pictorial composition to a bolder, more graphic design; that choice shapes both the look and the weaving time.

Hanging: the tapestry arrives without a sleeve or rod pocket. The simplest method is hook-and-loop tape sewn along the top edge, with the matching half fixed to a wooden batten on the wall. A clip rail also works, or a tailor can sew on a casing for a rod.
