A sturdy tree spreads its budding branches across a bright sunlit sky, small birds fluttering and diving through the leaves and a procession of guinea fowl and waterbirds walking through the grass at its foot.
- Size: 100 x 69 cm (39 x 27 in)
- Material: Handwoven wool
- Signature: Signed by the weaver in Arabic
- Finish: Warp fringe
- One of a kind: woven freehand with no sketch or cartoon behind the warp, so no second copy exists. The photographs show this exact piece.
Its wide format is made for the wall above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard.
Hanging: the tapestry arrives without a sleeve or rod pocket. The simplest method is hook-and-loop tape sewn along the top edge, with the matching half fixed to a wooden batten on the wall. A clip rail also works, or a tailor can sew on a casing for a rod.
