Why Choose Handcrafted

  • Each piece is individually made by skilled artisans — no two are exactly alike
  • Inlaid with natural mother of pearl, shell and bone — set by hand, never printed or transferred
  • Cut, fitted and polished by hand — a single piece can take weeks at the bench
  • Ages beautifully — the wood deepens in tone while the shell keeps its lustre

We offer free shipping on all orders via UPS, DHL, and FedEx. Every piece is crated and padded for transit, and larger items travel on a pallet. We ship worldwide — see the availability above for current lead time.

We want you to love your piece. If you are not completely satisfied, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging. See our full policy for details.

A large Syrian mirror frame carved and inlaid entirely by hand, its warm wood ground set with flowing mother of pearl florals, geometric shell panels and carved scrollwork rising to a detailed crown at the top.

  • Elaborate symmetrical composition of floral motifs and shell pattern work
  • Fine metal strand work intertwined through the inlay, following the borders and scrolling forms
  • Carved and assembled section by section in the traditional Syrian manner
  • Mirror opening measures 18 x 12 inches

The slender metal lines give the frame its characteristic definition — the detail that distinguishes traditional Syrian decorative craftsmanship from plainer inlay work.

Dimensions

  • Width: 22 in
  • Height: 40 in

Please note: this piece is the handcrafted inlaid frame; the mirror glass is included as a complimentary part and is carefully packed for transit. If the glass ever needs replacing, any local glazier can cut a pane to fit.
