If you are looking for a new look in your home that is timeless, bold and unique, then you might want to look into a Moroccan decor. Moroccan decor boasts the influences of Africa, Persia and Europe, and is both ornate and warm. You can find rich textures in Moroccan furniture and patterns that will leave you spellbound. If you feel this style is right for your home, here are a few tips to make every room look stunning.

The first thing you want to do is develop a color palette full of deep blues and dark reds as well as leafy greens and vibrant yellows. Select two colors as dominant colors and then pick three as secondary colors. Paint your walls using one or even both of your dominant colors, texture them with a faux plaster finish or suede paint. You can tile your floor with clay tiles, remember to pick out bold colors. Create a bright and graphic pattern with the tile work using secondary colors. Then, add a rug to the center of the room and place sconces on the walls.

You need one or two distinguished Moroccan tables for your room, add at least one Moroccan lamp. Locate a sofa with detailed wood carvings on it, this can serve as a centerpiece. It would also be a good idea to add a Moroccan pouf as an accessory. You can complete the room by selecting some fine artwork and accessories. Tiled mosaics and carved wood statuettes work just fine. And now to have a room that is more like a work of art.
