Installing a Moroccan pendant light is no different from installing any other pendant fixture. If you can use a screwdriver, you can do this in 20 minutes. Here's the step-by-step process.

What You Need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead)
  • Wire nuts (usually included)
  • Voltage tester
  • Step ladder

Step 1: Turn Off the Power

Flip the breaker for the circuit you're working on. Test with a voltage tester to confirm the wires are dead. Never skip this step.

Step 2: Remove the Old Fixture

Unscrew the old fixture's canopy, disconnect the wires (note which color connects to which), and remove the mounting bracket if it doesn't match the new one.

Step 3: Connect the Wires

All our Moroccan pendants use standard US wiring: black (hot) to black, white (neutral) to white, green or bare copper to ground. Twist matching wires together and secure with wire nuts.

Step 4: Mount the Canopy and Adjust Height

Push the wires into the junction box, screw the canopy plate to the mounting bracket, and adjust the chain to your desired hanging height. Remove chain links to shorten — pliers work fine.

Every pendant in our collection ships with a mounting bracket, canopy, chain, and wire nuts. If you need a longer chain, just let us know at checkout.
